Location: Stanwell
Salary: £60,000 + £5,000 performance bonus
Car Allowance: £350 per month or company car

We are currently recruiting for a General Manager on behalf of our client, a growing and diverse transport business with significant long-term potential. The Role

• Oversee daily transport operations, ensuring high-quality service across all contracts and services
• Lead and develop a large and varied workforce across multiple functions
• Drive operational efficiency and continuous improvement
• Develop and implement strategic business plans
• Manage budgets, forecasts, and financial performance
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards
• Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders and customers
• Work collaboratively with senior leadership to meet and exceed business objectives

What We’re Looking For

• Strong leadership and people management experience
• Proven ability to plan strategically and lead operational teams
• Financial and budget management experience
• Excellent customer service and relationship-building skills
• Solid understanding of safety, legal, and regulatory requirements within transport
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Must be willing to work on-site full-time at the Stanwell location
• Experience in the transport industry is highly desirable
• Transport Managers CPC is essential (or willingness to obtain within 12 months)
• Degree in Business Management or related field is preferred
