C9 Recruitment are currently searching for a skilled Sales director to join one of the newest rapidly growing technology companies that specialises in ticketing, point of sale, and payment solutions. There innovative platform competes with industry giants like Ticketmaster, Eventbrite, Skiddle, Square, Kappture, Triplejump, and Bleep. They are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sales Director to lead there sales division and drive growth in there exciting and competitive market.


As the Sales Director, you will play a pivotal role in expanding our clients presence in the ticketing, point of sale, and payment solutions market. You will be responsible for driving revenue growth by identifying and closing deals, managing strategic partnerships, and nurturing relationships within target verticals including outdoor festivals, sporting venues, and food markets.

Sales Director Key Responsibilities

  • Industry Expertise: Utilise your background in ticketing, point of sale, and payments to understand market dynamics, identify trends, and develop targeted strategies
  • Reveue Generation: Achieve and exceed sales targets, delivering a minimum of £50M in processing volume on our platform
  • Deal Closing: Leverage your proven track record of closing similar types and volumes of deals historically
  • Strategic Networking: Leverage your industry contacts and potentially low-hanging fruit to quickly hit sales targets
  • Office Presence: Be available to work in the office one or two days a week as needed
  • Long-Term Vision: Develop and implement a sales strategy that focuses on both short-term wins and strategic, long-term partnerships, recognising the importance of strategic partners for a start-up
  • Target Verticals: Focus on outdoor festivals, sporting venues, and food markets, identifying opportunities and tailoring sales approaches accordingly

Sales Director Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred)
  • 7+ years of sales experience, with a proven track record of success in the ticketing, point of sale, or payment solutions industry
  • Strong network of industry contacts and relationships that can be leveraged for business development
  • Experience with high-volume sales and achieving ambitious revenue targets
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to think strategically and identify opportunities for long-term growth
  • Willingness to travel for client meetings and industry events as needed
