C9 Recruitment is currently recruiting  a dedicated and organised Operations Coordinator to join one of the leading providers of urgent, same-day transportation solutions across the UK. Paying between £22 – 25K based on experience.

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in coordinating transportation operations, including route planning, driver allocation, administrative tasks such as purchase order management, customer service, and monitoring driver ETA’s.

Operations Coordinator Key Responsibilities:

 

Route Planning and Driver Allocation:

·       Plan and optimise transportation routes to maximise efficiency and minimise delivery times

·       Allocate drivers to routes based on availability, location, and workload

·       Monitor route performance and make adjustments as necessary to accommodate changes or unforeseen circumstances

 

Administrative Tasks:

·       Process purchase orders for customers accurately and in a timely manner

·       Maintain organised records of orders, deliveries, and invoices

·       Assist with general administrative duties to support the smooth operation of the transportation department

 

Customer Service:

·       Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries and requests

·       Provide timely and professional responses to customer queries, concerns, and complaints

·       Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to ensure satisfaction and loyalty

 

ETA Monitoring:

·       Utilise tracking systems to monitor driver ETA’s and vehicle locations

·       Communicate with drivers to provide updates on route changes, delays, or other relevant information

 

Operations Coordinator candidate requirements:

·       Previous experience in a similar role within the transportation or logistics industry is highly desirable

·       Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively

·       Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with a customer-focused approach

·       Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience with transportation management systems (TMS) is advantageous

·       Knowledge of route optimisation software and GPS tracking systems is a plus

·       Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy
