Engineering Manager / Head of Technology 

This is a role for a passionate professional with a software development background, to come in and take control of the technology side of this tech business! This will include development, architecture, support, maintenance and more. They are really looking for an all-rounder who can get all hands on deck with anything tech-related. They have 2 sides to the business – the consultant side and the tech side. You will be leading the charge with the technology side of the business.

You will be leading a development team of 10 people. The team are from a mix of backgrounds and are made up of developers that range from Junior – Senior, front end and backend etc. They are looking for a proven leader – someone who can come in and build solutions and inject real software development practices, standards and processes into the current development team. 

You will have proven experience of working on a wide range of projects and taking the technical lead. In terms of technologies for this position, ideally, you will be tech agnostic. You will be impacting projects in a wide range of technologies including both PHP (frameworks / CMS’s) and the Microsoft stack and Azure. You may also dabble with other technologies such as JavaScript and Ruby. You will get the opportunity to keep developing your skillset in a nurtured environment.

You will be client facing and be focussed on making the technological decisions with projects – including building briefs and making clients visions come to life! You may assist with some bids / sales pitches where needed. You will take charge of the full software development lifecycle – with the development team supporting you. You might not care so much about the technology used – you will choose to use the technology that is the best fit to get the job done….

This position truly is working on a multitude of projects, frameworks and technologies. You will be adaptable and able to pick the best tech for the job at hand.

• .Net, C#, .Net Core, Azure (Azure is ideally essential for this role)
